Though the resolution on the pictures are blurry, from what I can see, they look rather good. I especially enjoyed the wizard's cloak and infantry. I'd like to see them close up some time As for freehand, I work a lot on that for my own part as well, and I'm growing quite confident with it. My suggestion would be to start a small unit of something with shields, and practice painting small patterns on their shields freehand. You will soon then grow the confidence to move onto larger things like banners and horse barding. It all comes down to practice, and the will and guts to try rather than being afraid of messing up I'll throw in a few picturs of my own models, one with a freehanded chess pattern on his sword, and a far more ambitious banner. Would you believe me if I said the banner was my first ever freehand?

Wow looking good, really like the chess pattern and indeed I would not believe you if you said the banner was your first freehand!! Guess it is really well done! Maybe I should also dare a bit more then.. I would like to see some more of your minis up close as well, don't know if you're also into fantasy (I don't have any 40k) but otherwise we could just paint together sometime, makes it a bit easier to do and there's more motivation! Har det, Willem.
